Where does such tenderness come from? – Marina Tsvetaeva

Where does such tenderness come from?
Not the first - these curls
I smooth, and lips
Knew darker than yours.

The stars rose and went out,
Where does such tenderness come from? —
Eyes rose and went out
By my very eyes.

Not yet such hymns
I listened in the dark night,
Crowned - about tenderness! —
On the very chest of the singer.

Where does such tenderness come from,
And what to do with her, the lad
Sly, a singer,
With eyelashes - no longer?
